Effect: The two black aces that the spectator was holding magically turn red! This trick also has a video tutorial
Preperation
- Set up the 4 aces like this from bottom to top: black ace, red ace, red ace, black ace.
- Place them in top of the deck.
Method
- Lift the top card and show it (black ace). Place that card in the spectators hand.
- Now, TRIPLE LIFT the next 3 cards and show the bottom one to the spectator. It should be a black ace too.
- Next, put all 3 cards down on the deck and take only the top card and give it to the spectator. MAKE SURE THEY DO NOT LOOK AT THESE CARDS!
- Now, take the FIRST card you gave them and say to them, “So I just gave you another black ace. Right?” And as you say that, point at the card they are holding. As they look down, QUICKLY switch the card in your hand and the card that is on top of the deck. If you did it fast enough, there should be no suspicion at all.
- Lastly, Put the card that you have just switched back in the spectators hand. Tell them to flip both cards over and sit back and enjoy the astonishment!
NOTE: THE SPECTATOR MAY NOT LOOK AT THE CARDS AFTER YOU PLACE THEM IN THEIR HANDS. THAT WILL ONLY BE DONE AT THE END OF THE TRICK.
